Researched the True Cost of Television - turns out on a purely per-episode basis, DirecTV isn't as bad as I thought.. if you count the average number of episodes per season of the shows we watch, plus the average number of episodes of Daily Show and Colbert per year, we're only paying about $2 per episode. But that's still $1500 per year for tv service. Sadly, we can still only get between 50% and 60% of the shows we watch via Hulu or iTunes, and you can't really get either Showtime or HBO shows without a cable/sat subscription, unless you're willing to pirate it, which I'd rather not do.
loree and I went to Thai Ginger for dinner, then saw Brave in 3d. It was quite good. The little short before the movie was also good.
Home now, via horrible traffic on the westbound viaduct, ugh, why did I go that way?
