Soon, I am going to own three iPads. There's the gen1, which loree currently has, the gen2, currently known as Wei, and the new gen3 which should arrive next Wednesday.

loree seemed ambivalent when I asked if she wanted an upgrade (eg, to take the gen2), so I was thinking about what I wanted to do with the spare, and whether the 1 or 2 would be better for the possible uses.

Then I saw a blog post about Logitech's newly-announced ultra-thin keyboard cover, and thought about the Acer Iconia.. which is basically a hinged dual-table laptop hybrid.. thing… and then about some of the fancier iPad cases..

And it occurred to me to wonder how hard it would be to make - and how much of a pain it would be to use - a 'case' that would hold two iPads face-to-face, so you could open them like a book.

Not very useful for most purposes.. maybe if you could run kindle/ibooks/goodreader/whatever on both at once and sync them to display alternating pages. Or run Touchpad on one and VNC into the other. Can't think of many other /useful/ things.

edit: What I think I'll actually do is hang on on the wall in the kitchen. Good for various purposes, including connecting to the RedEye.
