I have, on the wall in my cube, 5 clipboards, each with a pad of paper attached. In theory, I'd use them to organize my notes for different projects. In practice, I pick whichever one is handy and use the rest to collect crap.
I pulled off one I hadn't used in a while. It had on it, notes and printouts from my work on generating barcodes for target registries. I was working on that in late 2002. Ok, old. I put those into my big-file-o-crap. (I never throw anything away, really)
I looked at the pad of paper on it. It's the Metro IS pad I got when I started my job at Microsoft. April 1999. 5 years and a month ago. There is one sheet of unused paper on it. I'm about it use it.
For some reason, I feel the need to rave about this. It's kind of freaking me out, for some reason. 5 years!
