Went and paid the $25 to turn my flickr pro back on, so I can start pulling all my metadata. Am downloading all the originals too, because a lot of the flickr copies are missing their original filenames, and I use that as the primary key for almost everything. So, I need the originals, which I'll md5 and compare against the local library, so I can map the metadata back to the original local files. Ugh. 2036 to pull, about 17 seconds each. Looks like it'll be done in about ten hours. Then ten minutes or so to map the filenames back into the metadata, an hour or three to push the metadata into iphoto. And I'll still need to upgrade to the new iLife before I can push in the geotagging. But don't want to spend the $80 for it right now. Maybe I'll get good news from Zumobi today.
edit: and, as I half expected, the hashes don't match. Damnit. I'm going to have to do this visually. I so need real minions.
