Jobby job jobs

So, popcap's got a couple slots in IT that I thought I'd share with you. One is a SysAdmin, I'll include the job description behind the cut:

Systems Administrator

Responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of office server equipment. Designs, installs, and maintains company desktop equipment. Provides 24x7x365 support for the office environment.

  • System administration of office and production servers
  • Performance tuning, security updates and disaster recovery
  • Provides 24x7 emergency response
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software problems
  • Assists on network wide projects, system migrations, and troubleshooting
  • Writes scripts and procedures for day to day operations
  • Performs Help Desk support

    Required Skills and Abilities:
  • 3+ years of IT support
  • 2+ years of Active Directory administration
  • 2+ years of Exchange administration
  • 2+ years of Linux administration
  • Knowledge of network topologies
  • Outstanding customer service skills as well as strong verbal and written communication

    Education Required:
    Bachelor of Science Required

  • The other is a second tools position, which they're currently looking at contract, probably contract-to-perm, but we'll see how that works out (getting people to contract that are.. acceptable seems to be hard). I /believe/ they're still finalizing the exact description of this one, but basically: know LAMP, know some good programming languages (C, Perl, PHP, Ruby would be my preference), know CVS/SVN/Perforce/something, etc. Windows dev experience would be nice. Oh, and you'd be working with me. I'll post the job desc on this one as soon as I know it's final.

Meanwhile, if you've any interest in either, please let me know and I'd be thrilled to pass you along to my manager.
