good progress at work. lunch AND dinner at din tai fung, which makes three trips in ~23 hours. That's more than I average a year. I think I'm good for a while.

Looked at couches while waiting for dinner. Found one we like. Will keep looking, but I feel good about that one.

Not that we can really justify the cost, but we do need to replace this one. It's failing in very annoying ways. And it's a lot cheaper than a new furnace. ::/

I dread replacing the furnace, even though a more efficient furnace will probably reduce our heating bills significantly.

We've had two companies out to give us estimates on replacing the furnace and adding A/C. Each gave three levels of options. Cheapest option is about $9k, most expensive about 15? 17? Even the mid-range is going to be 10-11k. le sigh.
