Anybody wanna do deep Rails in NYC? I got a ping today thru linkedin.

Amusingly:

"Given your lengthy background in web development, I wanted to reach out to you with details on a senior position that may be of great interest to you or maybe you know the perfect person! It meets all of your requirements but ONE! you would have to relocate it is NYC!"

I'm tempted to reply with "It comes with a pony?!?"

Pity there's that whole owning-a-house thing in the way. Not that I'd want to live in NYC...

plus there's the 80% cost of living increase, so a $100k position in NYC is like a $56k position in Seattle.

Well, yes. One would assume the pay is scaled accordingly. Or that they get laughed at a lot.
